This historical Greenwich estate restoration project consisted of a complete interior gut renovation of a luxury waterfront Connecticut property that included a suspension bridge originally designed by Roebling, and dock with moveable boat platform and hoisting abilities. The architectural restoration program for the existing sea wall required approval from the Coastal Commission. The luxury waterfront property consisted of an interior pool with a hydraulic floor and new exterior pool cut into the hillside with vanishing edge. There was an extensive architectural landscape and hardscape program that required significant excavation to facilitate the installation of winding stone paths, stairways and retaining walls. A deep mechanical pit was constructed to house the generators and air conditioning condensers to minimize the noise produced and hide them from sight. The house was designed for entertaining with amenities such as a billiard room, bar, theater, indoor and outdoor kitchens, massage therapy room, safe room and multiple entertaining areas. meandering road was installed to allow access to the property as there was no access previously. A significant landscape program was required as it was previously a forested lot requiring the felling of trees to allow for open fields and space for the newly constructed structures.
