Timothy S. Hanes
Managing Director
Tim Hanes joined The I. Grace Company in 2002 as a Managing Director. Tim studied Architecture at the University of Florida and completed a Bachelors degree in Architecture at NYIT. He is also a graduate of the Executive Program at Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Following employment with AT&T and Metrohouse Builders & Developers, Tim joined Schumacher & Forelle, Inc. (SF). Ranked among the Top 100 ENR (Engineering News Record) Planning-AE-Construction firms, SF served the Fortune 500 throughout the U.S., Mexico and the Philippines. Tim left SF as vice president and went on to found Hanes Associates, Inc. (HAI), in 1986, a firm that built high-end residential and light commercial projects for high net worth individuals. In addition, HAI served financial institutions and REITs providing building condition reports, phase I environmental site assessment, construction document review, construction cost estimating, and construction loan monitoring on high end residential, multifamily and commercial construction projects up and down the east coast and as far west as Kansas City. During this time, Tim was appointed to the National Panel of Construction Arbitrators, American Arbitration Association.
Since joining I-Grace, Tim has served as the Managing Director in several divisions including Service & Maintenance and Commissioned Private Residences in New York City, and the I-Grace New England office in Greenwich, CT. He has managed the planning and construction of major interior projects in Manhattan, as well as new residences, major alterations, and complex site projects in Tuxedo Park, Greenwich and the Hamptons on Long Island.
Tim and his wife, Ellen, live in Locust Valley, Long Island. They have three children.
